Nappy
My grandmother Adeline Nappy lived in Goole, Yorkshire, and married John E Neyvatte around 1900.
They emigrated to Canada and lived in Toronto around 1910. John disappeared around 1913 leaving Adeline with 2 boys to bring up.
Adeline had a brother who was drowned swimming in the river at Goole. Any information of the ancestors, siblings and any of their descendants would be valued.
Any Neyvattes that turn up would also be of assistance.

Nelson/Reed
I have hit a wall tracing my family line and would like as much info as possible on Anthony Nelson, Isabella Reed and their forebears.
Anthony Nelson was born 1793, married in 1822 to Isabella Reed (born about 1801), at St John the Baptist Church in Halifax, Yorkshire. Lists his occupation as Corn dealer.
A 1822 Halifax business directory gives separate listings for an Anthony Nelson and A & A Nelson as corn dealers. St John Church marriage records also record an Alexander Nelson (born 1791) to be a Corn Dealer. Brothers?
Also stuck on Isabella Reed. I think she may have originally been from Leeds.

I,m looking for any info on an Ethel Nicholson (I can’t find any records on her) who lived @ 13 Ramsey Sts Scarborough.
On the 4th of July 1922, Ethel gave birth to a son whom she named Jack (my father). Jack went to live – at birth or shortly there after – with Alfred & Gurtrude Rayner, who also lived in Yorkshire. Jack was adopted by the Rayners 15yrs later (strange ??????). At the time of the adoption the Rayners were living in Blackpool, but, at some point moved back to Yorkshire. They relocated many times within the shire (also strange???) until they died in the 70’s. Alfred had a brother named Tom, he also lived in Yorkshire.

My father found out he was adopted in his seventies – too late to ask any questions. Sketchy info I know, but, this is all I have. If there’s any one out there that this story sounds familiar to, it would be great to hear from you.

Norris
I am searching for three missing children of my greatgrandfather Tom Norris. They lived in the parish of St.Mary’s North Ward, Wombwell, South Yorks. Tom was 50 when the 1901 census was taken but the following children do not appear on it. Cecil Norris-who I remember. I have photos of Raymond Norris and May Norris. I believe that Cecil was married to a Clara.

Norton
I am seeking information on the parents of John Norton b 1782 in Brawby, North Yorkshire, who married Sarah Noble on 13 March 1809 in Kirby Misperton. Sarah was born in Foston by Malton in November 1785 to John Noble and Ann Galtry. (I am also seeking their parents).
John and Sarah’s son, George Norton, was born in 1817 in Salton, and married Anne Studley, daughter of William Studley (179?, Kirby Misperton) and Anne Chapman (1795, Kirkby Moorside), in 1820 in Middleton by Pickering.
Anne Chapman may be the daughter of Thomas Chapman. William Studley may be son of George Studley (1767, Slingsby) and Ann Otley, who married in Feb 1790 at Kirby Misperton.
