I joined around a thousand other guests at the Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Awards 2011 on Monday evening at Doncaster Racecourse where the county’s tourism businesses gathered to receive this year’s gongs. It was an enjoyable gala night once again but more importantly it was well-earned recognition for the work of those who help attract millions of pounds into the Yorkshire economy.
