Well done to the 912 hardy Santas who took part in a fun run with a difference at the weekend.

There were almost 100 more entrants than last year at the third annual Skipton Great Santa Fun Run on Sunday.

Despite the weather, they all donned Father Christmas outfits and beards and jogged around the market town to raise money for good causes.

Congratulations too must go to the proactive local Rotary Club for organising such a popular event so well once again.

This is an excellent effort by all those solved, especially despite the weather! Does seem a bit early for Santa to arrive, but all good. Keep up the good work. Are there any more events planned to support the rotary club and others?
