The Friends of Parcevall Hall Gardens near Appletreewick are looking for photographs of the garden in their heyday, when Sir William Milner lived at Parcevall Hall (c.1930-1960), or in the following two decades.

This beautiful garden is of national historic importance and is currently the only one on the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Friends say that every early photograph, whatever the quality, could hold significant information concerning the structure and planting created by Sir William. The group hopes to establish a comprehensive photographic archive to help to protect the integrity of the garden for future generations.

Photos can be sent to Mrs Pat Wilson, Chairman of the Friends of Parcevall Hall Gardens, The Garden Office, Parcevall Hall Gardens, Skyreholme, Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 6DE. The Friends say they will return photographs if requested.
