I was up early this morning for a walk over the moor and along the green lane between Settle and Otterburn. The cloud formations were other-worldly – here are a couple of examples and you’ll see another which features a panther (it’s true… take a look) on my other blog on www.thecountryman.co.uk. The purple/pink flowers you see on one of these photos are in fact part of a patch of rogue rhododendrons which have somehow taken hold and survived high on this lonely moor in a narrow hidden gully through which runs a shallow stream.
