A host of Yorkshire stars, personalities and businesses were honoured at the annual Yorkshire Society dinner, which took place at the Leeds Club in the heart of the city’s business district.
Those celebrated and recognised were:
Gaynor Faye – Recipient of the Yorkshire Society Arts & Culture Award
Harry Gration – Media Personality of the Year and Honorary Vice President of the Yorkshire Society
Leeds Mencap – the Yorkshire Society Charity of the Year
Reverend Rob Hinton, Minister to Business in Leeds – Yorkshire Society Award for Work in the Community
Emerald Publishing – the Yorkshire Society Business of the Year

Chairman of the Yorkshire Society Keith Madeley MBE commented, “It is wonderful for the Yorkshire Society to acknowledge through its annual awards those who have made a significant contribution to the life of the county, and I am delighted to have been able to present these accolades to our richly deserving winners.”
Harry Gration, winner of the Media Personality of the Year and recipient of the Honorary Vice Presidency of the society added, “It is a great honour to become the society’s vice president, as well as to receive the coveted media award. It’s very much appreciated.”
