Queues to see the experts at Fountains Abbey

Tune into BBC One on Sunday 30 December to see the Antiques Roadshow at Fountains Abbey. Filming took place in July and more than 3,700 people visited the World Heritage Site near Ripon in North Yorkshire, bringing along items large and small to be valued by the experts.

The sun shone at the National Trust estate as some of Britain’s leading antiques and fine art specialists were on hand to offer advice and valuations to members of the public. The atmosphere was one of excited anticipation as queues of people and objects snaked around the 12th century abbey ruins throughout the day.

Some fantastic items were discovered, accompanied by some very surprised owners, which will be revealed on the programme.

The ever popular Sunday evening television show presented by Fiona Bruce will be screened at 8pm on BBC One. For further information visit www.bbc.co.uk/antiquesroadshow
