Can anyone help me solve the riddle of my missing great-grandfather? His name was David Williams and he was born in about 1859. His father was called Richard Williams and they were both fishermen. David married my great-grandmother, Amy Lowden, in Hull in 1882. David and Amy had my grandmother, Lilian Isabella Williams, in Hull in 1883 but I cannot find David on any census, and I can't find his death. I think he must have been lost at sea as Amy was living with someone else in the 1891 census but using the surname Lowden. She had children with David Lowden but did not marry him until 1897 and on her marriage certificate it states she was a widow. Any information would be great, thanks.

Woardley or variations
I have been searching in vain for years for the origin of Elizabeth Woardley Rebillet, my childrens' great-grandmother. Family information is scant and possibly incorrect somehow. Elizabeth Woardley, born 15 August 1875 and is said to have come to the US in the late 1800s from: Scarborough, UK; Scarba Island; the Isle of Skye; "somewhere in North Yorks". The spelling of the surname is also possibly questionable. Variants incl; Warley; Whorley; Worley; Worsley; Wardlow; Woardbey; Wadby; Waudby. She married Julius Eli Rebillet in Nebraska, US. He came to the US from Switzerland on the SS Saale and landed in NY 20 May 1887 and went to Nebraska, met and married Elizabeth. Why either of them went there, I have no idea. They went on to Wyoming and lived and died there. Any clue would be most grateful.

Wones / Woans / Warnes or similar
Am looking for an Edward Wones/woans/warnes or similar born approx 1760 possibly
in North Yorkshire - maybe in the Dales area. He lived for a time in Shropshire

in a limestone quarry nr Sedgley, S.Staffs. His son, also a limestone miner
eventually managed the famous "Wrens Nest" quarry owned by the earl
of Dudley close to Dudley castle in the Black Country. The name, which is very
unusual would appear to crop up in North Yorkshire, in the Dales area & my

I wish to trace any relatives in the Yorkshire district of Harrogate and Knaresborough. I have traced my grandmother Lily Wood, through the Census records and birth certificate of my father, to an address at 13, Russell St, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG2 8. Date around May 1917, she had a son about that time named Reginald Wood. She was working at that time as a café waitress. She was a single mum and was born about 1890 +/- 5yrs. I believe from family talk passed down through the vine that she may have had an older sister called Annie Wood who lived around the area, who may have helped support Reginald Wood or fostered him at that time. I have also been told of another relative, name of Peggy but no surname was given. Reginald Wood probably went to the local school http://www.oatlandsinfants.co.uk/ about 1922 when he would have started about the age 5 /6 years old. Wood
I am trying to find family connections to a Mary Ann Wood born in Rotherham about 1893. Her parents were John Henry Wood and Charlotte Cocking. Mary's married name was Green, I think she wed a George Green before 1916. She was a witness at her dad's marriage to Rose Thorpe in 1916. I think she had a son, George Henry Green, in June 1914 but not sure.

I am looking for information on Frank (?) Wood or Woods – I fully appreciate this is very vague. I believe he was born in Leeds during the latter part of the 19th century, missing in action believed killed in 1916. He may have served with one of the 'Pals' regiments.
He had his photograph taken in Blackpool with 4 other gentlemen.
He had a girlfriend from Knaresborough called Dora Johnson.
Any information, no matter how vague or disjointed, would be appreciated.

They had at least three children, Joline Ida Wordsworth Cornelius
(born October 1875), Stella Adeline Wordsworth Cornelius (born
November 1872), both born at Fitzabad, Bengal, and Effie Charlotte
Cornelius, my grandmother. The maiden name of the mother continues

Worsnop
I am looking for information on the family of James Worsnop, born about 1650. The family seems to have remained predominantly in the Wibsey/Low Moor area of Bradford.
I have traced my family tree back to Thomas Worsnop born about 1727 in Wibsey, Bradford with a reasonable amount of certainty. The three generations before that is more in the nature of an educated guess based on what records I have been able to locate.
From what I have been able to glean, his father is likely to have been John Worsnop, born about 1705, again in Wibsey and probably married about 1726 and Thomas looks to have been the eldest of six children, the others being John (before Oct 1731); Mary (about 1735); James (before May 1737); Anna (before Sept 1738); and William (about 1739).
I am also interested in contacting anyone else researching this family for the purpose of sharing information and in locating any living descendent of one of great grandfather Alfred's younger brothers or sisters [the parents were Charles Worsnop and Elizabeth Harker].
These were:
-Emma Harker Worsnop (born about 1854) and married James Morrison of Portsmouth. They had two daughters Zilpah and Mary Emma.
-John William Worsnop (born 25/04/1859) married Jane (April-June 1877). They had two daughters, Annie (married Albert Hutchinson) and Hilda (born (July-Sep 1891).
-Richard Worsnop (born 12 March 1865) married Lavinia Holland (Jan-Mar 1915).
-Harker Worsnop (born June 1875) married Ann Ellen Kershaw 20 May 1899. They had one son I know of, John, born about 1901.
