Richard. He married Ann Hall from Coxwold (13.2.1833) and farmed Rookery Farm

I am trying to trace the history of my great grandfather who was
born in Font St, Pontefract 1883 or there abouts. He was a miner,
until the outbrake of WW1. He enlisted in to the 12th Kings Own
Yorkshire Light Infantry. Served in Egypt then France he was
wounded on the first of july 1916 his Regiment Number is 12/350.
I have tried everywhere to find a picture of him but to no avail.

My grandfather was Albert Edward Eden, born 1901 in Fearby, near Ripon. Albert had a twin sister, Mary Alexandra. Their mother was Caroline Eden (née Wilson, born 1864 in Snape). Caroline married Abraham Eden in 1885 but Abraham died 1890, 11 years before Albert's birth. Both Albert's and Mary's birth certificates have no named father on them. In 1911 the family were living in Newcastle at the property of Luke Bell. Any information on Albert and his sister Mary would be gratefully received, in particular any info on possible male parentage as I am unable to progress this line at the moment.

I have traced my Family tree back to Settrington in East Yorkshire. My Grt. Grt. Grt. Grt. Great Grandfather Richard Edmanson married Anne Bottrell on 23 February 1764 in Settrington. He died their in 1779.
I would like to know where he came from as there is no record of his birth in the Settrington parish records. There is of course the possibility that he arrived in Settrington and had his name spelt incorrectly by the Parish Clerk as there is of course a strong likelihood that he would be unable to read or write.

I am desperately trying to trace a John (known as Jack) Ellershaw. He was born

term of imprisonment at HMP Lancaster, (so family rumour has it). I am led

Does anyone remember a lovely large old house called 'Green Lea' (alas no more),
Greenside, Dalton, Huddersfield? It was inhabited by Joe Ellis, who lived there with
his wife Polly and their four children, in the early 1900s. Also, I would like
to know more about a family called Peace. George Albert, wife Mary Ann and their
five daughters (two died young from TB). They came from South Shields to live
near the centre of Moldgreen, Huddersfield, and were there until after the 1939-45
war.

who, at one time owned Savile Mills in Dewsbury. Samuel Ellis
had a daughter, Olive,
who married T W Travers, probably early in the 1900s. Olive had at least two

I have a John H Ellis born in Haigh Darton, Yorkshire, in 1799, to Mary and Thomas Ellis. Thomas' parents were Elizabeth Johnson and Joseph Ellis from Darton. Richard Ellis was Joseph's father.
John lived in Midgley, at Midgley Farm as the Woodman. He married Charlotte Shepherd at Wakefield in about 1828 and their children were George, James, Mary, Thoms, Ann and Samuel.
Thomas Ellis was a Woodsman and they moved the family to Sheffield later on in life.
I am from John H Ellis's family and am interested in meeting up with anyone related to any of the other siblings.

am trying to find information on David Richard English Born about 1898-1905. He worked for the British Transport Police (based at the railway in York) between about 1930-1944. He may have been born in Durham, Darlington, Beverley or even York.

I am trying to find out what happened to Ernest Evans born 1888 in Middlesbrough. Father John , mother Elizabeth. He married Annie Harland in 1913. Annie died in 1916 and their children Freda and Annie adopted or put into a home. Annie also had a daughter Edna who lived with her grandparents.

I am looking for information on Charles Henry Evans born around 1899 in Hull. Son of George Robert and Mary Ellen née Taylor. Pensioned out of the army in 1918 due to loss of left eye. No other details can be found at present. Any help would be much appreciated.

Looking for desendants of William Ewart (born 1867 in Eskdalemuir).
He is my grandfather Thomas's older brother. William and family
settled in the Settle/Batley area of Dewsbury where William was

My grandparents were Alice and Albert Exley. My dad is John Malcolm
Exley snr and I am John Malcolm jnr. He has 2 sisters June and
Sheila, and 2 brothers Garth and Brian. My grandma died in 1976
