BRACKEN HALL COUNTRYSIDE CENTRE

BRETTON COUNTRY PARK

Previously part of the Bretton Hall estate and landscaped in the
style of Capability Brown. The park incorporates self guided trails
as well as sculptures by Henry Moore. It is located close to the
Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Bretton Lakes Nature Reserve.

700 acres of woodland and crags covered by numerous paths offering
a chance to explore this environment. A wildlife Watch Group meeting
on the first Saturday and third Sunday of the month is available
for children from 8 years old. Public toilets and barbecue sites
available.
CUSWORTH COUNTRY PARK & MUSEUM
Cusworth Lane, Cusworth, Doncaster. Coarse Fishing (2 Lakes), Cafe,
Shop, Playground. Danes Dyke Countryside Site. This wooded ancient
linear ditch and dyke has nature trails and access to the forest
and beach. Opening Times: All year, daily.
DENABY INGS NATURE RESERVE

This is a Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Site and has hides for viewing
the birds.
GOLDEN ACRE PARK
Adel near Leeds. A beautiful lake surrounded by 137 acres of botanical
garden and woodland. It contains a wide range of horticultural
features, many collections of trees, shrubs and plants and the
National Collection og Primula Avricula and Lilacs. The park
also contains an informatice demonstrative garden. Opening Times:
Daylight hours. Cafe, Public toilets and giftshop available.
GRAVES PARK ANIMAL FARM

An open-air collection of animals which you can touch and talk
to! The farm is located in Sheffield's largest park where there
are also picnic areas and a cafe. Opening Times: Monday-Sunday

This four acre farm has rare breeds of farm animals, demonstration

HOWELL WOOD COUNTRY PARK

a game reserve, but is now ideal for walking and picnicking.

RIVERSIDE GARDENS
Ilkley. On the banks of the River Wharfe are these spacious green
gardens which have a well-equipped children's play area.. It
is also possible to enjoy boating, but only between the Old and
New bridges. There is a hotel and cafe.

A network of footpaths, cycleways and bridleways as well as a visitor
and an exhibition centre. There are many water based activities
and it is also possible to camp/caravan in the park.
SOUTH LANDING
Flamborough. There is access to foreshore and beach as well as
a picnic site, toilets, parking and walks suitable for wheelchairs.
Opening Times: Visitor centre Easter-October daily.
SPURN HERITAGE COAST
Named 'The Oddest Place in England' the combination of land, sea
and sky is distinctly unnerving. Opening Times: Blue Bell Visitor
Centre Easter-October Saturday-Sunday and school holidays. Spurn
National Nature Reserve, Kilnsea, Tel: (01904) 659570. This 3.5
mile sand and shingle nature reserve comprises a variety of plants
and birds. No dogs allowed. Opening Times: All year daily, Visitor
Centre all year Saturday-Sunday and main holidays Saturday-Thursday.

WAKEFIELD PARK

This park was originally the grounds of two Victorian houses, but
now it features the walled Rose Garden, Conservatory, Nursery and
Wildfowl Lake. The conservatory is open most of the year and occasionally
has displays of plants grown in the nursery. There is also a children's
play area and a miniature steam railway.
